General FAQ’s

Nothing! We never charge for services, regardless of income or ability to pay. We are a nonprofit organization funded by a generous community. We have nothing to gain financially from your pregnancy decisions – we’re simply here to help.

No. Our services are available to everyone regardless of income status.

No! Our services are 100% free and confidential. You do not need to bring any insurance or Medicaid information. Just bring your picture ID and you’re all set.

We do take walk-ins for pregnancy tests during business hours. However, we encourage scheduling an appointment to avoid a long wait. Ultrasound appointments require a positive pregnancy test at our office first, and then we can schedule your ultrasound with our nurse sonographer.

We try to keep it simple! You will be given a short intake form to fill out and then you will meet with a client advocate or nurse, depending on the type of appointment. We’ll go over your intake information, answer any questions you may have, and go over pregnancy test results with you. Resources and class information will be offered to you and follow up visits scheduled as requested. Read more details on what to expect here.

We use lab-quality urine pregnancy tests. We currently do not do bloodwork.

Unfortunately, no. Limited OB ultrasounds are performed to detect fetal heartbeat (viability), location of pregnancy (in the uterus versus ectopic pregnancy), and gestational age (how far along you are). Anatomy scans are not part of our services.

No! Your location does not matter. However, if you are far out of our area, we are happy to help you find a Pregnancy Center closer to you.

No. We encourage you, if your relationship with your parent(s) is safe and healthy, to bring them to your visit for support. But otherwise, we can still help you as a minor.

We absolutely take these concerns seriously. If you are in a domestic violence situation or other unsafe environment, we want to help you get to a safe place and get the help you need.

We do not provide or refer for abortions. We do have detailed information about abortion procedures we can share with you, to help you make an informed decision. We highly recommend an ultrasound as well, to confirm your pregnancy, make sure your pregnancy is not ectopic, and to know for certain how far along you are. This is critical information to have before an abortion decision. To schedule an ultrasound, text or call us.

At this time, we do not offer these services, but we will provide you with a list of medical providers who can help.

We do not have in-house STI testing currently. But we work closely with providers who do, and we can help you get set up for testing.

Maternity housing is not available at our Center, but we will work with you to help you find housing, assistance programs and other resources that you need (including referrals to maternity homes, if requested).

Of course! Our programs and classes extend until your baby is approximately 18 months old- sometimes longer. Contact us to find out more.

When you take part in our classes (including online classes), you will earn points that you can exchange for items in our Mom and Baby Boutique. It’s easy to do!

We have new and gently used items such as maternity clothing, baby clothing, diapers, wipes, baby equipment (strollers, beds, bouncy seats etc), and much more. We’re happy to help you track down the things you need during pregnancy and after!

This usually depends on what type of classes they require. Please contact us for more information.

Yes. If you are in extreme distress about parenting your newborn, please contact us. You can leave your baby with one of our staff, no questions asked, during business hours (Mon, Tues, Thurs 8:30-4:00pm. Please make sure our office is open first.) Call 1-888-510-BABY (2229) or in an emergency, call 911 to find other Safe Haven locations in Mountain Grove, MO and the surrounding areas.
